Sharon Neumeister
During her career with the Dayton Ballet, Sharon has been a ballet mistress, rehearsal assistant, repetiteur and professional dancer. She has been featured in such roles as the “Sugar Plum Fairy” in The Nutcracker, “Tiger Lily” in Peter Pan, “Mina” in Dracula, “Odette” in Swan Lake, “Fairy God Mother” in An American Cinderella, “Mrs. Cratchit” in A Christmas Carol, “Michaela” in Carmen, and “The Mother” in Tommy. Since retiring from the stage, Sharon has enjoyed coaching and teaching dancers as well as staging works for the company. As a repetiteur, she has set Septime Weber’s Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Peter Pan, and Carmen, as well as Stuart Sebastian’s Dracula, Christopher Fleming’s Tommy, Gregory Robinson’s Hot Riffs and Blue Notes and Mozartiana, and Dermot Burke and Stephen Mills’ There was a Time. Prior to coming to Dayton, Sharon received her training at the Joffrey Ballet School and The Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and performed with the Joffrey Ballet, the American Repertory Ballet and the Grand Rapids Ballet.
